    Or Google "SAP IDES".
Cheers for that! I'd actually come across IDES, just assumed it was another SAP product that did something, not a demo as such - I'll give it a go.

I downloaded a SAP R/3 install set from a torrenting type source, 48gb but it was all Windows and I'm not interested in that. I want it on proper Unix, not play-Unix Linux, industrial-strength Unix like Solaris or AIX. Seems SAP with DB2 lives on AIX best from what I've seen...

    Ta!

    started a topic SAP......

    SAP......

I know - closed shop, just about the only one left in this connected world....

However, I'm in the position now where I'm dealing with it, from the server side, and I have err, access to the media and I would like to understand it a bit more.

In a previous career, I was a Cost and Management Accountant - and did several SAP R/3 imps, from an accountants perspective though, not the back end IT stuff, so I'm familiar with the accounting bit of it, FICO.....

Anyone know any non-SAP enclosed guides/sources so I can have a go? Trying the obvious install-type files gets me nearly there but not enough.

Not for blagging SAP on my cv, but so I can fill a gap. Then blag it on my cv...

Sad i know, but I have my pSeries IBM next to me running AIX and DB2, but the SAP bit eludes me.

Working...
