Thats the basic gist of what I was reading. You have to replay it and record it off.

I thought it was going to be sophisticated. ie. Burn straight to DVD, no replay. I've got something like 60 hours worth to take off of which 40 hours is kiddy stuff! Enough to keep Spod amused for a week!

Only speaking of my days at "Pace", data was not only encrypted on the early Sky+ boxes but a proprietary format used, a very-low-level format was required to even get a PC to access the drives...

You could also feed it straight into your PC if you have the necessary hardware. I have several USB TV gadgets that will also record mpeg2 from composite or S-video.

Apparently it has something called "export", where you set up a playlist of what you want to record, it then plays it back and you can record it on your DVD recorder or whatever else you have hooked up to the scart output.

I expect there is no internet how-to because it's in the manual.

Dumb Virgin Media Question

This is bound to be dumb, but spent sometime searching cable forums and not really found what I am after.

We have loads of recorded media on a Virgin+ Media Box which I would like to cut to DVD.

Has anyone seen a decent FAQ or process on the tinternet because I'm struggling to find anything decent.

Anyone done this?
