For me excel files are quite important. But luckily for me almost always I decided difficult situations. But one day I was in difficult condition and started searching the solution and was successful - viewing corrupted Excell files. The program helped me within seconds and easily.

Yeah, I thought that would be the kiss of death for this thread.

Ah well, maybe he'll back up next time. Sometimes people need to loose something of importance to understand that backing up isn't just something other people do.

If XML, try to unzip and see what's up by opening the XML files...

It's saved in Excel (waits for shouts of derision) 97 format.

one method of recoving data from corrupted excel file is to link to each cell from another spreadsheet. You will have to know the sheet names though if you are going to try this.
