I used Gmail with windows mail for ages before recently upgrading all my Win machines to 7. Always worked fine, never had a problem.

The new Live mail also works technically fine with Google but is just a crap app in other respects.

    Windows Mail and Google Mail

    Anybody use this combination?

I set up my Dad to use GoogleMail, using Windows Mail on his main PC and old Outlook Express on his laptop (so that it'd be in sync), but he's saying it doesn't work well, takes ages syncing folders, and sometimes can't send.

I use GoogleMail in a similar way, but I'm using Thunderbird. I'm wondering if the IMAP support in Windows Mail is just, well, crap? Or is it his ISP? I find GoogleMail works pretty well for me.

Working...
