IE8 and WMP11 Album Info

Aaahhh!

Why do Microsoft not test things properly!!

Recently installed IE8.

Bought some new albums.

Want to rip them to laptop.

Put CD in to play / rip.

No album info shown.

I've had this before but cannot remember the fix - anyone else experienced this and managed to fix it.

Yes I have search t'interweb, no clear answer.
