    Many thanks Monkeyboy

    I think I have spent far to much time away from hands on firewalls.

    I am missing something really basic here.

    Interface name trust/untrust/serial - I am guessing trust as it is inside my firewall.

    Zone name Null - VLAN I can't bind to anything apart from trust - I don't think.

    IP Address - set up xxx.xxx.xxx.1 - use as gateway IP for the subnet

    VLAN tag matches the switch tag.

    Block intrazone traffic, and NAT the traffic?

    Is that it?

    Create sub interfaces on your physical link with the correct vlan tags and correct zone

    Via web ui select networks - interface
    top drop down box choose sub interface then hit new
    The rest is pretty self explanitory.

    Juniper 5GT - Creating VLANS

    I am hoping that somebody on this board has some experience with creating VLANS on a Juniper 5GT. I have already created the VLANS on my switch, with VLAN tags matching their subnet addresses. Traffic is as it should be on the switch etc.

    How do I set up the 5GT to;
    • route traffic out to, and in from the internet to the correct VLANS
    • route traffic across VLANS according to requirements.

    Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

Working...
