Set up a WAP site containing the dictionary in a database. I set one up for chart songs so I can cheat in pop quizzes.

I already have a bloody smartphone, or at least something similar to one, an XDA, and even though theres better, smaller more phone like kit available none of them still compares with the small size, weight or user friendliness of things like the K750/W800...Originally posted by SpodicusA suggestion... Babelfish from your browser via GPRS...
Failing that buy a bloody smartphone...
The GPRS route can also ending up costing too much, specially when roaming.
Sysman, thanks I'll check out the link and see if it helps.

French English dictionaries
Word list available at http://www.freelang.net/dictionary/french.html
If that doesn't work for you, then rather than clock up GPRS charges, go for a smartphone, as Spodicus suggests.
Babelfish is far from the best...

A suggestion... Babelfish from your browser via GPRS...Originally posted by Joe BlackWell the title says it all. I'm all Google'd out and I still can't find someone who sells such things. Do they exist?
What I'm refering to is simply a language dictionary, e.g. French-English, which can be installed on a Java compatible phone - and by that I mean a standard phone (Sony K750) and not one of those smartphone thingies - so I can look up words anytime I'm out and about.
Any tips/links appreciated...
