Firefox URL autocomplete

My Firefox has started returning Google as the first option, even after I have typed more than enough characters in the URL to eliminate that. E.g. When I go for CUK, I get as far as "www.contr" and it is still offering www.google.co.uk as the first choice.

Anybody know whether I have done something, or Google has done something?
