This site hosts streams to a lot of stuff, even reserve games of some football teams. If a proxy is needed check the forums.

To be honest i will only really want it for watching sport (rugby league and union), the rest of my telly needs can be got from bit torrent/dvds
the missus is staying at home (with the sky) while i am away so cant really take the box.
anyways i am sure i will sort a solution out

You could always just take your Sky box to Austria. You may need a slightly larger dish, but as long as you don't tell them you've moved they'll probably never realise.

right looks like i am going to be working in europe next year (probably Austria) i have full sky package in the uk and was wondering if i will be able to access the sky iplayer from "abroad" or if its uk only? if so is there any way round it? e.g. re-routing so that the player thinks your accessing from within the UK?
If i cant access the sky from abroad then there is no point paying for it.
