whs,
But if you have a problem with the umbrella, then get them to sort it out or change - as regards expenses it's not the umbrellas policy it's the HMRC Policy - if you've thrown the reciepts it's more or less tough, but the umbrella should have told you to keep them.
I'd change asap.

New to contract - late salary
Hi All,
I am a new contractor in UK. I have a contract with my umbrella company that they will pay me monthly through BACS. I have sent them regular time sheets. I have joined at the end of July and its now the start of september. I enquired my agency about my pay because according to the contract I should have it in my bank account last week. But today I received cal from my agency and they told me that I will get my pay at the end of this week which would be the 6th week of my contract. I am very confused. Its now difficult for me to manage my expenses. business travell expenses are also arround 500 pounds. I was new and my agency didnt inform me that I can claim these back. I threw the receipts except one or two and now they are saying I cannt claim it back. I am so confused about all the situation. Please Advise.
