While not London based, I can recommend ABC Data Recovery in Sheffield.. I've used them in the past for customers and they were excellent.. They do have a daily collection service in London..

    Data recovery from corrupt PC

A friend of a friend got some architect drawings (CD format?) on a CD. Put them in a couple of machines - but made no backup

Then put them in a machine at some company - crashed the network! Seems full of porn!

The architect is no longer. If they did not provide read-only CDs then no suprise!

Anyone know of any data recovery specialists they can recommend? Prefrably LOndon area (suddenly become urgent to get the data). Anyone want to tackle this themself? How much should it cost?

Obviously the data may have been totally wiped!

Could the obvious "friend of a friend - yeah right" and "is he Wilmslow" comments be saved until the data is recovered?

Oh yes - I am aware I can google for data recovery London - ideally I would like the job to go to someone on here or get a recommendation.

    Thanks
    BP
