XP Hidden Folders

I was playing around with WinUndelete on a XP pro setup

It shows a folder off the root of c:\ called "$UnknownFolders and seems to have recent (by the time stamp) entries in Hex.

I cannot see this folder as admin even with system folders view enabled in explorer

Any ideas or come across this before?
Should I stop visiting those "special" sites

Is Big Brother watching ?
