Having given this further thought, it sounds as though you haven't put the PPDs, HPDs, AFMs and/or TFMs in the right places.

This, if memory serves, would explain the results you are seeing.

When we run oracle reports server, and the destype is "printer", we can only generate hardcopy on 1 printer, which is the one for which the unix environment variables PRINTER, ORACLE_PRINTER etc. have been set in file reports.sh.
Now the client wants to allow printing to many (100+) printers, how can we implement this? We can set up the printers in file uiprint.txt, then reports doesn't give an error, but no hardcopy appears.
Has anyone done this sort of thing before? Thanks.

You want the user to be able to choose the printer they wish to print to?
