Another matter
Hi Techno
I've tried to contact you direct, but can't find a way of doing so...??
You may remember I was looking for VB.NET help back in January. I thought I had found it, but I have been let down. Are you still interested in assisting?

I assume you are referring to a custom event log. The only way I found to really delete one was to update the event sources in the registry. Buggered if I can remember the keys etc, but this might get you started:-Originally posted by techno View PostHi
I have created an event viewer log file in error and this appears within Event Viewer.
I have tried to delete it using the following steps...
1. disable the event log service
2. restart windows
3. delete the *.evt file from system32/config
however when I restart the service the event log is recreated!
Is there a file / registry setting that holds a list of the event logs to
create...?
Thanks for any help.
