There's a known Vista issue with IIS (localhost)

    http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windo...windows-vista/ (work safe)

    Could be this?

Thanks for the info - I should have said - I'm running Vista Business but it's creaking as I only have a 1.2 gig processor and 1.5GB Ram.

I Dual-boot into Ubuntu and it runs like the wind in comparison.

I have a Freecom unit, but I don't use the supplied software or EPG.. I am running Vista Ultimate, so use the Media Centre built in.. Admittedly, I only use it on occasion and don't do any recording..

I have heard good things about PowerVCR in the past..

    USB TV Tuner

Bought a Hauppage Win TV NOVA TD - it's supposed to be a twin tuner Digital Freeview jobby.

Works OK ish (after downloading Vista drivers) but the 7 day EPG doesn't work at all - this seems to be a webserver running localhost and getting data from the tv channels.

    1) Any ideas/experience on the EPG
    and/or
    2) Any recommnedations for a better one when I return this one for a refund (anyone running one under linux?) - I want my own aerial and ability to record digital freeview (doesn't have to be twin tuner)

Working...
