The big advantage Outlook has is the built in calendar and that it easily sync's with windows based mobiles, which is the main reason I use it.

The one thing that is missing in Outlook is the ability to auto BCC e-mails that you sent out. You can auto CC them, or hack about with some vbscript which isn't very elegant. Wish they would just add a BCC checkbox into thier rules.
I like Outlook 2007, especially the ribbon UI - much more intuitive than menus..

To add a BCC when sending an email, click the Options tab and then select the 'Show BCC' option.. It remains selected for all new email..

EDIT: Dammit!! I should read more carefully before replying!!

In the age of gigabytes of RAM, isn't 52MB negligable?

I use it at home.. Memory usage is about 21MB, which is substantially less than the 73MB currently used by my Outlook 2007.. It does work with Exchange and there is an article on how to here..

    1) Yes
    2) Probably
    3) Probably not.

If you move over to Thunderbird, or Evolution, or any other free mail client, you'll miss a lot of things that you took for granted in Outlook.
