This is true, I could outsource, but the diagrams are likely to change everytime the architect changes his mind or headroom is revised etc etc etc so an automation process would be ideal.
Anyway, it is possible. This site shows the basics of it for the remote chance anyone else here is wondering how to do this.

No, but if you send the DB to India or Eastern Europe, someone will create the diagrams for you by hand for about £50.

Automating Visio diagrams from a database query
Is it possible to automatically generate Visio diagrams (of server cluster configurations) from an Access database query?
I.e. the query returns the server names and models etc for a particular application, say, and Visio will use the appropriate drawings for those models and label them with the server name etc etc.
