    Had it happen before.

    I was in my teens, learning to master the skateboard, not yet brave enough to stand on it I decided to kneel instead. Holding fast onto the board with my hands and fingernails on display to the tarmac underneath.

    I was oblivious to the slight incline that was to follow after I picked up speed going downhill.

    10 seconds after push off I was without fingernails... blood was gushing, weeks passed before the grew back.

    Needless to say I did not touch the skateboard again.
