The killer is the 3 seconds of silence when you answer a call. Pathetic. How do they get away with such a crap product?
-
I have a Pearl and its great for email and SMS but is falling apart, scratched and ugly after 10 months use, and also the locking features on it are utter sh*te and I'm often ringing/SMSing/Email customers from my pocket at 7am as I stagger out of bed
Its also slow to answer calls which is pretty fundamental, a couple of seconds of 'hello? hello?' often results.
The speaker is sh*te, the camera is sh*te and the keyboard is a pain to get used to, but the browser is half decent and hooking it up via USB gives a mass storage device and its also easy to set up the modem.
I wouldn't get a BlackBerry again to be honest, back to Nokia for me.

I have Nokia E61 with T-Mobile web n walk. It has generally been good other than occassional (7-8 times in 10 months) 'hang' . You can configure POP mail just like you would on your computer. I download Yahoo and Google mails, sometimes with auto-refresh.
The browser, screen resolution, keyboard - all good. Webnwalk is 1GB softlimit on downloads and in my experience, more than sufficient.
E61 is available from Orange, 3, O2 also IIRC.

Blackberry
I've had one of these for just under a year, it's falling apart and that's with minimum usage.....it's constantly coming up with errors on screen and rebooting itself.
The bigger versions seem to be a bit better and reliable.

The curve is smaller and more stylish - more like a mobile phone.Originally posted by Moscow Mule View PostI have a Curve - the one with the full keyboard.
It's on O2 - other carriers may be different - but they give you an email address (me@o2email.co.uk or something) for admin and with that you can set up numerours other accounts, i've got 2 gmail, 1 hotmail & an IMAP all sent to the phone.
I think (not sure) that the O2 servers poll your accounts then push your mails to you when you've got something.
Only had it a week but I like it.
My mate had the Pearl, but couldn't get on with the keyboard.
As MM says, your O2 email account 'connects' to your POP3 accounts and regularly 'grabs' any emails and forwards them onto your Blackberry.
