    If it's a Unix box, as part of the copying process run "touch <filename>" to reset the file timestamp. If it's Windows, there are a whole bunch of utilities to do the same - search for "windows touch" on Google and take your pick.

    I have a problem with timestamps on files. I create a text file on server A which is then copied over to server B
    Problem is that server B is physically in a different time zone (and under a completely different administration group and domain) and ignores the file untill its own clock has caught up with the modified date/time on the file.

    Is there easy way of giving the file an earlier date last modified time when its created?
