Guest replied1) close any apps
2) open any folder from windows
3) click views and then details
4) click the 'name button' to sort on that field
5) close the window by holding down the <ctrl> key while pressing the x in the top right corner
6) open an app and go to 'open file'. should be fine?

Open file dialog order
For some reason the open file dialog in most apps on my laptop (but not some MS stuff like Excel or Word) has decided to show files by date rather than name as the default.
Very minor prob but irritating. Any idea how I set name as default again?
Ta much.
