Print Spool doesn't clear after successful print

Any Sys Engs or Tech Support people can help with this problem?

Have an domain XP machine printing to an HP1320; the printer has a static IP and is not part of any print server.

I have a user that can successfully print to the printer. However, opening the printer in the Printers Folder shows that the document status reamins as 'sent to printer' even after the document has successfully printed. Then some hours later, the same document is printed again. At the moment the user has to manually delete the print job after successfully printing. The printer is not set to keep documents. No other PC that prints to this printer experiences the same problem. Have stopped and restarted the print spooler. Have also removed the printer and reinstalled it to the Printers folder but with no joy.

Anyone else experienced this problem. Any suggestions?
