    it should be okay - new version is about to come out so 9.2 should be pretty stable. My main issues with Oracle are mainly in pricing area and resource consumption (pricing again really).

    At a certain time it is necessary to upgrade to keep support, etc going. Together with the fact that certain application providers offer a choice of versions but would like to go with the latest one. I like to have some feedback on how Oracle 9 is going in the real world and not just rely on feedback from Oracle.

    I have a lot DB's at 8.1, is it safe to upgrade to 9.2 or shall I wait?

    Any opinions?
