Just bought a Dell XPS 1210 for my missus off eBay (brand new cancelled order with 3 year nbd warranty) for £800 - made up! Great little machine although not the lightest of the 12" screen jobbies. Runs for blummin hours though.

This is an attractive notebook, but the maximum memory support is low - not even 1Gb.

    Memory
    256MB Standard, 768MB Max. (PC2700 DDR-SDRAM)

My only complaint is that the "bluetooth on" light below the screen is ridiculously, distractingly, bright.

They're low on stock at the moment due to appearing on a bunch of bargain-hunting sites recently, but if you wait a while I'm sure they'll get some more in.

But now that you have mentioned it, I'll probably keep looking at it now.

    Libretto - That's a Tosh, right?

Not a big fan of their laptops, especially the smaller ones, as they charge a fortune for external devices with proprietary connections.

Oh, and a naff BIOS as well.

Ohh, maybe not then! I was looking at them about 8 months ago, guess they have dropped them.

I guess the next nearest is the d420, I also hear that the Libretto is making a comeback
