Platform is M$.
It is in the context of sending large numbers of emails based on templates.
An example would be sending everyone an email explaining that their password has been reset on the intranet and obviously sending the right password to the right email address.
A template would be someting like:
Dear #user_full_name#,
You password on the Intranet has been reset to #new_password#.
Please login using this linlk #Intranet_link# and change your password immeadiately.
Thanks,
Admin
I want an easy tool to create templates, manage lists of data and schedule the emailing. Preferablt ability to create HTML emails and log when people read the emails, via read receipt or by appending a unique ID onto and image referenced in the HTML email.
e.g. img href="logo?id=343534539845384"
so that the server knows who has read the message.
Simple really, but I want a supported and off the shelf solution.
I ain't got time to write one. Too busy.

I don't mind paying for a commercial solution or shareware.
I just need something to create email "mailshots" from a list of contacts.
1. Load list of contacts.
2. Edit/load template letter.
3. Merge fields.
4. Send emails.
5. Log responses/read receipts etc.
It needs to be flexible and easy to use, and no it's not for spam, it's for internal company communications at a large client.
Such tools must exist?
If not, any FTV's out there want to write one for a fiver?

Okay.
Looking for an easy to use mailer tool that:
1. Is based on MS tools/technology.
2. Can take lists of data/fields in Excel, CSV etc. and merge them into an easy to edit template.
3. Can do an email merge of fields and then send the email to each person on the list within the Excel, CSV file.
4. Handle plain text and HTML email.
5. Track who has read the message.
Ideally an addon to Excel or Outlook etc.
Cheers,
