Guest started a topic PCI Extensions

    PCI Extensions

Part of one of my contracts is to provide customers with xSeries servers which run specialised software for running mainframe OS'es and sometimes these require extra cards (ESCON, ICA and PCA) which are full length 32bit 33mhz PCI cards. To allow for some customers to have powerful systems I'm now proposing the eServer 326 system but this has a slight setback in that it has 1 full length PCI slot which I would use for a RAID 6M card to control disks and 1 PCI-X slot which I would use for another SCSI or network adapter. Does anyone know of an external unit which would allow me to add extra PCI boards? I've found a couple but these don't suffice and the only one from IBM only works with certain servers which I can't use.
Working...
