LCD Screen - depends on what you want it for. I have a Samsung 32" TV which also is used for my PC and is brilliant...also wall mountable!

Laptop Video Card - most are surface mounted to the main board so impossible to change. Some offer the option to use onboard RAM as VRAM (shared)....never seen one with a seperate video card, I'd imagine they are like rockings horse wotsits

    what's the laptop?
most laptops have on board graphics so you'll have to plug in a graphics card into the CARDBUS or whatever slot you've got slot

Sorry for being a tad off topic, but has anyone got one of those Quad monitor stands?

I fancy getting one later on this year.

I was thinking of Dual screen on one workstation on the lower two and the upper two on seperate machines.

I'm just wondering what people think of them.

I got one of these 19" widescreens, 5ms response etc, a few months ago for £109 inc VAT .... currently £111 inc VAT.

No complaints at all. No dead pixels. Great for gaming.

Will probably buy a couple more actually...

Are there good online places to buy new monitors? I am working at a client in Holborn at the moment and I was thinking of getting one in Tottenham Court Road - but then I have the challenge of getting it home on the train!!

    Look at:
Contrast ratio: the higher the numbers the better.
Response Time: I'd recommend 8ms or less

    TIA.
There are loads out now real cheap and most are good. Personally, 20" is the min size I'd consider.
