Many of you are aware that edX offers free as well as professional certifications on various Skill tracks in alliance with Top Universities

edX Professional Certifications

Has any one acquired one and found that it has given them the advantage in getting a contract?

I understand that some have a strong distaste / dislike for certified blah blah, but for some I assume that it works.
