    Here you go....
    https://www.selectalabel.com/labels/supermark-labels

The ‘Rolls Royce’ of asset labels, they combine the tamper resistant
labels with our famous Selectamark permanent etching. This means that
even if the label is entirely picked off, a permanent etched mark is left on
the surface of the item, allowing any marked item to be easily identified.
    The most secure solution available.

The modern equivalent may be smart water. Unique signature only visible via black light with additional benefit of no names or other naff stickers on the kit so can easily sell on.

Not sure if the right solution or if something better out there in everyday use.

Permanent marking solution for computer kit ?

    Hi,

A long time ago I worked for a firm that marked all their computer kit with a serial number and company name etc. The method of marking was to print and then apply a sticker which etched whatever was printed onto the equipment. After a time period the sticker was removed and left the marking permanently etched into the equipment.

Anyone know what I am talking about and where I can find it in the UK ? Or an alternative similarly permanent marking scheme would be of interest if not.

    Thanks,

    Boo
