I'd go for a 7600 instead. The 6600 chip used to have a problem with it's internal timing clock that caused lots of BSOD if you were unlucky and a few if you were lucky.
Do a search for 6600 BSOD on google and i'm sure you'll find more

Why did you go with the 6600 when you could have got a faster 6800 for around the same price (if you shopped around maybe)?

According to the wonderfully underused high resolution fluke clamp meter, my workstation AND display sucks about 180W whilst flat out and 7w on Sleep.
Then again it was built for VERY low power consumption.

P.S if you want to save money, dont just shut down yer PC, switch off the power using the button on the power supply... a PC that is supposedly 'soft switched off' will quite happily charge my hungry PDA as power is still flowing through those circuits... try it....

I run an overclocked Intel Core Duo E6600, 4 gigs ram. 2 x 500 Meg SATA drives (RAID), 2 x 10,000 rpm SATA drives (RAID), an Nvidia 7900 GTX, an SATA burns everything and could possibly reheat a takeaway DVD burner, PLUS a Koolance Exxos that keeps everything cooool.... off a 400w Enermax modular power supply that doesnt even break a sweat

So that's where all the fossil fuels are going.
My entire workstation and peripherals consumes less power than that card!!!

Thanks for the reply...I actually managed to get the thing working tonight.Originally posted by MrsGoofmaybe the card is FUBAR
have you installed the latest NVidia drivers ?
I swapped my 300W ATX PSU for a 500W version...bingo!
A guy in work had a similar problem and changing the PSU worked for him.
Cheers
