the other half has a boxster and the only fault i have with it is that you never feel confortable really pushing it. tho im not sure whether thats the car or just me scared of what she'll do to me if i trash it!
finally decided on the m3. now just to find one...
So, looking for a new motor. Been trawling Autotrader for weeks but to no avail.
I want something quick and pretty stylish. But its also got to get me about the country reliably as I do 500 miles per week (hence anything too stupid - TVRs, Lotus Elise etc - are out of the question).
I've got 15k to spend. So what do I get?
Have you thought about a Passat? All the top contractors get them and they come in beige!!!
Went looking at M3s. Had a 320ci E46 sometime ago and loved it. Its the way to go if only the budget could increase. They hold their dosh alright.
Boxster not an option as g/f already got one.
Boxster is a fantastic machine, I always liked the Z4 as a counterpart as with 265bhp it was a good match against the 2.7 Boxster and the 2 car's complimented each other on the road. The SLK was too "girlie", the original Audi TT too small, the Honda S2000 to revvy, the Chrysler Crossfire, not really in the same class and the 350Z convertible, well the coupe version was always a better performing and better looking car IMHO.
Currently own a Z4 (well the wife does) and an M3. I can recommend the Z4 wholeheartedly, boot space is surprisingly tardis like - you can get a week's food shopping (for 4) in the boot (just). Practicality issues will be if you can cope with just 2 seats, much like the Boxster and MX5.
If you could increase your budget slightly, seriously consider the M3 - you get the benefits of back seats as well!!
