I've only ever known this to happen in scotland - on the menu of every chippie i've been in they offer "chip suppers". For non-scots this means they serve chips with......chips.

A few years ago when I was on a gig in Wigan, to celebrate national chip week, one of the local bakers was selling a chip pie!!!!!
