Funny that, because a lot of forums I've posted on over the years concluded the same. I suppose the beard doesn't help.
I think it's because I post with authority and conviction and sound like I know what I'm talking about - as I do on the serious sites. I'm 'gobby' as well, so that is not considered a girly trait either. A lot of women also post under girly names or their own names, making it obvious they are female. Mind you, I didn't think Denny was particularly 'male' but it could be mistaken as an abbreviation of Dennis.
- both think they are cleverer than they are
- neither have a long-term partner due to , ahem, social issues
- neither have any IT and technology training
- both are a little gobby
