The wisdom of having F&M labs anywhere near farms with livestock has I think, been disproved.

One for the conspiracy theorists/cynics amongst us.....
Isn't it strange that the outbreak appears to have originated in a government research facility that is near to the farm, and they traced it back to this government facility within hours of diagnosing it as foot and mouth.
What are the chances of el golden brown getting them to release foot and mount into the wild so he can clamp down on it quickly and with minimum fuss and look like a national hero just before he calls a snap election......
This is of course written in jest, i don't really think it was released on purpose, more likely blatant government mismanagement of the facility in question.

2. Increases shopping costs for consumers
3. Increases Insurance premiums
4. Bankrupts farmers
5. Increases the rate of inflation
6. Increases imports
7. Decreases exports
