Previously on "Car Stereo with Bluetooth and iPod control"
I was actually in halfords looking at these during the week and I might have to settle for one but I would have liked to have been ale to control the ipod from the stereo so that I can leave the ipod hidden - it will also charge it then.
I have seen some at halfords that are bluetooth and with ipod control but they are a couple of hundred more than the one on the link which I can't justify to the wife
I looked at the rhythm n blue but like the above poster says it doesn't have ipod control - just plays mp3s off the disk
the main reason for the ipod control is because I drive long journeys twice a week and usually listen to audiobooks and the fm transmitter solution is doing my head in - I contstantly have to retune it when as interfearence gradually drifts in - it's a proper itrip aswell. I had tried a tape adaptor from the ipod but for some reason the car stereo in my current car and old car keeps trying to automatically change the tape over???
Looks quite good from the phone side, but (and I may have missed something here) I can't see anyting about an iPod or MP3 player interface, just that it plays MP3's off CD's.
Can anyone recommend a car stereo that has bluetooth and iPod control so that I can listen to my iPod and throw the crappy tape adaptor and fm transmitter away and also connect my mobile through the bluetooth to take hands free calls?
Not bothered about make although decent sound quality is a must.
