    Well, as I say it’s not impossible to arrange longer agreements but certainly not as simple as a few statements have made it out to be!

    Spot on.

    Those we have done are around 24 to 36 months with a couple of exceptional ones as Phil has indicated.

    Majority of agreements I’ve arranged are 1 or 2 years. Anything above is more difficult but not impossible depending on circumstance. The longest I’ve had is >10 years but that an extreme exception. The best advice i can give is to state that HMRC will need more reason to allow longer periods so it’s worth putting together your income/expenditure in advance of any discussions.

    Has anyone any real experience with TTP for CLSO2.

    I am retired expect settlement to be about £175K I can put £40K down but need the rest over a number of years probably 7 . Anyone had an agreement that long?
