Oh, the IT industry is doing great.... it is just that "the industry" is more and more reduced to a handful of big consultancies.
Exactly how Gauke and friends like it: few interlocutors, easy to make arrangements with, easy to get kickbacks from.
    SMEs and freelancers...not so much.

    Remember Edwina Currie?

Probably as decent a politician as any other and what is she remembered for?

    1. Killing the egg industry
    2. An affair with John Major

Politicians have no shame and can hide behind the old lie of something being good for the majority.

Since we are discussing DG, I cannot help but rerun this.

It really tells you all you need to know about this man.
If there ever was a more blatantly double-faced mf in all of British politics, I've yet to see him (and God knows competition is fierce).

Also, just for laughs...Gauke performs magic trick, transforms 847 responses into 20

Good for David that hypocrisy doesn't kill. Sickening? Yes. Surprising? Not one bit. Dude is a textbook sociopath, won't be happy until every single one of us is dead and buried.

UK to reject EU plans to combat multinational tax avoidance | World news | The Guardian

The above is a report that Gauke has blocked an EU plan which essentially means multinationals would no longer be able to have branches/subs in EU territories and escape tax in other EU countries where they actually sell stuff.

This is a continuation of a policy that had its last serious outing in 2011.

Compare Gauke protecting his friends and perhaps contributors in big business with his continued heartless and relentless campaign against the "lifeblood of the economy", self employed and small businesses.

Try and keep it polite please.
