I actually started in good spirits this morning despite the drizzle.
As I was driving through the forest this morning, I rounded a bend and there, stood broadside on, was a magnificent stag. Very regal looking in the early morning mist. He didn't have much of a set of antlers but I seem to recall that they are growing a new set at this time of year in time for the rutting season.
It's funny how Mother Nature offers up something like that to brighten one's day!
