Touched that you are missing me
I still pop in to see what going on but I've decided to take a break from posting as it seems to leave me vulnerable to some rather spiteful unpleasantness from some of the bullies that frequent this forum.
Anyway, I've been rather busy of late as the patter of tiny feet has come into our lives. Actually, its the patter of tiny paws as Mr Gittins has bought us a little springer spaniel pup and he is completely and utterly adorable!
There's an old chap called Moses who frequents our local, the Mildmay Arms, and his bitch had a litter of 8 pups about 2 months ago and Mr G (in an enebriated state) put us down for one. Well, there was no going back was there? The only difficulty was in choosing which one to have. I wanted them all!
So we are now sharing our house with this little furry ball of fun called Silas. That was my choice. Mr G doesn't really approve of human names for dogs - he wanted to call him briar as a springer is a countryman's dog and he felt he should be named after something one sees in the countryside. So I guess Silas is a bit of a compromise as it kind of sounds rural doesn't it?
You'll also be glad to hear that he'll be accompanying Mr G in the cab of his land rover as he goes about his daily business while I'm down at The Back of the Walls in Scummerville (where I'm currently pulling my hair out learning the Ennity Framework). I can't stand it when people get dogs and then leave them locked up all day while they're at work.
Anyway, time to say TTFN as I'm heading off back to S Somerset and Hopefully I won't get snarled up in the bank holiday traffic on the A31 as I'm looking forward to spending a few hours in the local with my 2 gorgeous boys!
Have a nice bank holiday weekend everyone.
