    The Greatest Show on Earth

    A little golfing anecdote for you at the start of this Masters weekend.

    About 20 years ago I was sat in a crowded waiting room at the dentists waiting to have a filling.

    A TV in the corner of the room was showing the latest action from that year's Ryder Cup at Valderama.

    A little boy dressed in a school uniform who was sat along the row from me looked up at the man who accompanied him and enquired "Is that the Ryder Cup?".

    His guardian turned and replied "Yes, it's the greatest show on earth".

    The name on the boy's satchel was Luke Donald.
