    Judging by the majority of good sys admins that I have met over the years. You start at the age of 18 swapping tapes or doing other menial hard to **** up jobs and then spend 10 years growing into the BOFH.

    Saying the role takes little education is right but it takes 10 years in the hot seat to get really good baring in mind you will have had to retrain yourself ant least twice to new technologies
