OK as promised the feedback. It arrived today so I got it all out and assembled with the road bike as this has the slickest tyres.

Piece of cake to set up. Resistance levels seem a bit wimpy at first until you adjust the cable, and then start going up through the gears. I wasn't expecting Ditchling Beacon type resistance, but for the distance the resistance is enough to get a sweat on and do intervals with.

I am surprised how quiet the resistance is. Not had it up to full chat, but got the top gear going and gave it some beans (around 25 mph) and it was really quiet.

Some videos on youtube of more expensive makes were talking about the person in the next room having to turn the TV up to 20 from a usual 12, and smile sweetly while the cyclist works out. This is much much quieter than that.

Very sturdy. Takes up to 23 stone, so I'm good to go with some headroom.

For £70 delivered from Ireland I am as happy as a sand boy.

^ mine didn't, not sure it's the same name, but shape, qr, resistance cable, foldability are identical. It's great. I'm going back 13-17 years btw.

It comes with a front wheel block. We shall see.

Edit : Makes sense to use the road bike as

    a) It's lighter so makes setting up easier
    b) It's my babe so doesn't set foot out in the inclement weather, that's what the mountain bike is for.

Not yet. Expecting to take delivery later this week. Going to get the remaining miles out of my rear tyre on it then plump for a blue tyre.
