Previously on "Minimum price for a decent property in London ..."
FFS any decent .NET jockey is going to be looking at something like this.
You can always stick an extension on it if it becomes a bit restrictive.
Not if you work for 'Tadpole Technologies' - they have the gall to offer £225 a day for a contractor with 'at least' 2 years C# and GIS experience, preferably .Net 2.
I wonder why they didnt post the advert in Polish.
P.S new labours spies in the sky will spot your extension and increase your council tax.
The most important private residence to be built in England since the 19th century.
It has been more than two centuries since a private house has been constructed on such a majestic scale, finished to this degree of sophistication or offered such extravagant privacy.
Larger in area than the royal residences of Hampton Court Palace or Buckingham Palace, this magnificent estate symbolizes the grand scale and imposing presence of the Great Houses of England, yet employs state-of-the-art 21st Century technology to provide the ultimate living environment.
Updown Court occupies a quiet and sheltered position surrounded by landscaped gardens, parkland and mature private woodland. It is ideally situated for fast access to London and major national and international connections.
I was hoping the 2 bedroom flat with kitchen and living room on the second floor might appeal to them, leaving the rest for me. Either that or they could live in the coach house. I'm not sure they'll go for it though, which is a shame as it's the cash from the sale of their house that makes it affordable.
Anyway, it's a big house with lots of balconies and things - an accident (or two) could easily happen in such a place.
Yes its a good house that can effectively house couple of families, but a lot will depend on how well you get on, the last thing you want is to see people you don't like in your big house, this would spoil everything. Well, unless they join the gimps in the cellar.
Nice house btw - think I will buy something like this, technically not Harborne, but close enough.
Funnily enough I am thinking of buying it. It's on my potential list, admittedly at the top end, but I have to think very carefully about whether I can stand living with my in-laws. Granted we could have a wing each and rarely see each other but it might just be a risk too far.
