Anything darker than a tan seems to have something against me so I return the compliment. I've never actually been robbed successfully. Last near attempt was a little druggy slag on the tram in Nottingham who I held up in the air by one of her wrists until the tram attendant sorted her out.

I have moved somewhere nicer now btw.

Nice one. I have a WW2 German Flamethrower fueled in my bedroom and a Katana Sword in the boot of my car. I also have a mace under the driver seat. Also carry CS spray on a night out, but would only use it if i got stabbed, as its illegal.

Would never ounce carry a knife though, in the UK your more likely to go to jail for carrying a pocket knife than a deactivated firearm.

Lol. I live in Hainault which is close to Leyton. This is meant to be a posh area, but twice now I have had to redirect some yob from damaging my car.

If Oldham is as poor and Rochdale, Burnley etc.. (I think it is having visited my cousin's shops there many times) I can see how one would get a piss poor price for a house. Especially if its in a Ethnic dominated area. There is high ethnic unemployment in these places so they don't have much cash to play with - unless they are drug dealers. As well the whites just wanna get out. Can't say I blame them - Asians tend to be rude, dirty and scamming the social system. When there are beautiful new developments around with single homes all white and safe - very tempting.

Who said segragation was dead. In the recent English Cities report by the ODPM - Burnley, Oldham, Blackburn etc.. are the most segregated in the country. Though if you try and tell the councils that - they deny it.

True I've never heard of whites being beaten up by Asians - are you sure none of them are drug related crimes? In general though - English youth are the most horrendous I have experienced - I imagine its tit for tat.

The UK's work permit scheme is being abused to import cheap IT workers from overseas at the expense of resident IT professionals, according to a report by trade union Amicus.
This lot are a bit ******* slow aren't they? I can't wait for their next report "'the earth might not be flat', say Amicus".

If you live in Oldham I'm sure lack of english speakers is the last reason you would use to get out. The place is a dump!

Is that right?? the top 5 are companies based in India! TCS I know just finished a massive contract with CIS.

Is this why permie adverts have crap salaries? Just to pass the legal requirements - then sponsor someone at less than that salary.

    damn lawyers!

So, it means that 1/3rd of IT work permit holder are definately paid more than 30k as otherwise they would be included in stats more favourable to the union that juggles it, and interesting how they say exactly 32.500, yet vaguely mention less than 30k, this seems to imply that (unless they are lieing through their teeth) that 2/3rd of permit holders earn 29,999 on average (and 1/3rd earn more than that, which can actually push AVERAGE work permit holder salary higher), then difference is actually 2.5k per year, which is less than 10%: hardly
big deal especially given that 1/3 earn more and this would skew average salary higher.

More importantly - would you rather have £30k (before tax) in this country or £10k (probably zero tax) in Bangalor?

I was on a project last year where 80% of the contractors applying for roles on the rollout were from Australia, South Africa and Zimbabwe - with a couple of others from Nigeria.

Of the total of 10 hired, 6 were foreign nationals with work permits, and one of the remaining 4 was a legal immigrant to the UK.
