I saw one at Brussels a few years ago and was lucky enough to watch it take off, lots of smoke and it used all the runway to get airborne (just).

When Clinton visited the UK a few years ago two C5's landed at Prestwick one carrying the limo he gets driven around in. Since I was airside as a member of the flying club there I sidled over and was given a guided tour of one of them, you just can't appreciate the size of those things till you get up close.
