Have you thought about the iPad Mini? Despite the fanboi reputation the iPad is THE defacto tablet device, its just simply works, much that was maligned about Apple's design (non removable battery, no external SD card) is now in most Android devices

Yes, Nexus 10 looks good, but it is black and rubbery. I quite fancied white, (I like to get my priorities sorted) so thinking about the Samsung Galaxy tablet 2. The reviews on John Lewis are very favourable and it has an SD slot. One of the reasons for getting a 10" is to watch movies whilst staying away midweek,

Really daft question now remember my trade, but if I do not need to store very much is a 16gb any worse than a 32gb, or is the latter much better in other ways? Time to join the 10 year olds playing with the display at PC World on Saturday.
