Its not taken the brains of an archbishop to work out I have been going through a tough time a the moment, I've spoken to a few of you that I class as friends about what is happening, some have told me things which put my problems into perspective but yesterday I hit a new low, and did something stupid which could have left my children without a father.

Talking to the few people I trust completely over night I have woken up with a different view, I am still struggling but I have accepted some things that are not going to change, and I have to learn to deal with it, better than I was doing before.

I know this is Day 1, this is a new SimonMac.......

Don't know what's up but I can sympathise. People will disagree with me when I say that much sorrow is caused in the UK by government poking their nose in, over taxing and making stupid laws. If people were allowed to get on with their own life without pressures, we would be much better off

Next stage is getting the body fit as well as the mind, always enjoyed swimming joining the local Virgin Active Gym, helps they have jacuzzi/steam room, also gonna start taking some classes to start meeting new people as well as keep me motivated.

Thanks for everything, both in hear and those who have taken the time to PM me, I know the key is keeping busy, and not letting things get on top of me. I have a Dr's appointment booked for next week as I think its gonna be best I go back on anti-depressants, I will get better.

When I first lived sur le continent I spent all my holidays using Yorkshire as a base, and it gave me some much needed sanity.

Used to love walking around the moors and heading to t'pub for a nice ale and a pie.

I know this is depressing, but was going to talk about a horrid subject, 3 kids who are my kids ages (just at uni) had childhood friends committing suicide in the last couple of years, two in the last two months.
We are all shattered, these kids used to come to my house all the time after school and at weekends.
I have no idea what's wrong with the youngsters nowadays, I honestly think the younger one's lives became more and more complicated, but everyone disagrees with me and thinks yongsters nowadays are spoilt, because a youngster has an iphone and and ipad it doesn't mean their lives are easier.

Anyway, its heartbreaking, life is already too short.

It's always happened.

Unfortunately unless it's happened to people close to you or you then you don't know about it.

You live oop north, which means you are a very lucky man. All over the North there is stunningly beautiful scenery. Get out on a bike or on foot and just take it all in. Now that I live in Euroland I appreciate the scenery of England more than I ever bothered to do when I was there; go and see it all; it makes life worth living.
