    it does happen. it happened to me once.
    went for an interview in an estate agency IT dept in London. fixed a major problem as part of my technical test then the it manager asked me what my 'real rate' was

    I just said goodbye walked out. The free ham and salad roll was nice though.

    just suck it up, smile and move on
