Anyone read yesterday's article in the times about how easily children can access porn and what a terrible effect this can have on them?
If you had, you might agree that a proposal to block online porn is a very good idea.
However the EU is more likely to ban pictures of bikini girls languishing on car bonnets than to do anything effective
EDIT: here

One of the advantages of the EUs democratic process is that while potty ideas like this generate a lot of publicity they have piss all chance of being turned into law.
Vote brave MEPs and save our porn.

I was robbed when I did my stint in the porn industry.
They saw me coming I reckon....

Women in mainstream porn can make a fortune, far more than the men do. Ok, there is a lot of back street stuff that can be unpleasant, but as far as paying for it goes, men get fleeced far more than women.

Seriously, that's way more sexist!

The proposal "calls on the EU and its member states to take concrete action on discrimination against women in advertising... [with] a ban on all forms of pornography in the media". Said a EU committee made up from ugly fat women and hen-pecked men

Banning porn...
Like that's ever gonna happen. What those mendacious Orewellian bansturbators are saying via their Newspeak, is more control of all media.
