Is the perm job potentially good enough to take you away from the contracting life then?
The contract I am on now only does 3 monthly renewals and is quite uncertain, although a nice place - 30 minute drive from home. The rate is not awesome but it is okay for outside of London. Not much other contract work around other than in London where the competition is severe and the commute will increase by 2 hours a day.
However, I have had my fingers burned with the permie world and would rather stay independant and run my own company rather than give all of the control to other people ... hmmmm .... would need to think if I got offered it but they would have to absolutely blow me away at this interview to stand a chance to tempting me over.Last edited by MyUserName; 13 February 2013, 15:30. Reason: Missed the word 'away' out - best typo EVER!

So I assume the second Boom will be the ability to turn down a scummy perm role?
